So, as my other job is a photographer, I took four of the book covers, which were captured in the following locations:
1. Raw Mistakes:
The publishers offered me the possibility of using this one. I don’t know where it was taken, but I loved it as it looks so much like a wooden jetty where I photograph my weddings in Italy.
2. Better Mistakes
This picture is of the daughter of a friend of mine. We were on a boat trip to visit some sandbanks in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Zanzibar. She borrowed the dress of another friend with us that day, and that was it. She just strutted her stuff for a few minutes, and the book cover was done.
3. Secret Mistakes
This was taken on a beach in Zanzibar during low tide. This lady is a friend of mine who lives there. She came for the shoot armed with many different outfits, and we shot so many locations that I could have used ten different pictures for the cover. I chose this one because I liked her confidence and sense of purpose.
4. Inevitable Mistakes
This scene is from the south of Lake Garda, around the Bardolino area. I love the colours that pop. As I’ve not yet published this one, I may change my mind; for now, this is the winner. The girl in the photo was a model in my photo studio who volunteered to do this shoot for the book cover.
5. Final Mistakes
This image was taken on the beach that I describe so often in Zanzibar. The building in the distance is the Rock restaurant, a world-famous fine dining location that you walk to at low tide and travel by boat to at high tide. It is also the setting for the final chapter of the final book in this series.
