Reader question. Do I read a lot?

A reader asked if I read a lot myself, what are my favourite books, and who are my favourite authors. Well, the answer is a resounding no.

Finding the time to bury my nose in a book is as rare as finding a unicorn in my backyard. Unless, of course, I find myself soaring through the skies on a plane, stuck in an airport, or lounging by a pool with no wifi.

I, however, devour podcasts like a kid in a candy store, whether I’m pedalling away on my bike, cruising in my car, or taking a leisurely morning stroll (which is a rare occurrence in this scorching Italian summer).

As for my podcast preferences, I like true stories that send shivers down my spine. I love true crime,  but my heart truly belongs to ‘British Scandal.’ When I ran out of episodes, I was seduced by the allure of ‘American Scandal.’ I also went through an American, or maybe Canadian, podcast—I can’t remember—called ‘Against All Odds,’ and I loved every single episode.

Currently, I’m at the mercy of my sister’s impeccable taste in podcasts. She’s always armed with a killer list of recommendations, and I’m more than happy to surrender to her superior judgment. After all, a podcast a day keeps the boredom away, right?”
