Q and A about getting in the zone….

It’s a piece of cake, really. I simply tune out the world around me. I completely immerse myself in my writing to the point where I could be anywhere. If I’m in public, I pop in my EarPods and disappear into my own little world. In the office, I shoot the ladies a look that screams, ‘Do not disturb,’ and they quickly catch on. With Alexa playing my favourite tunes, I’m in the zone.

Sometimes, when I’m on my balcony in Zanzibar, my phone on ‘do not disturb,’ I get so lost in my writing that I forget where I am. It’s only when I glance up and see the ocean or people playing on the beach that I realise that I’m not in Greece or Italy or wherever else I am writing about. Before I know it, seven hours have flown by, and I’m ready to unwind with a glass of wine and good company. Writing difficult scenes? Piece of cake.”
