Reader comment about Kia, one of the main characters from book 2 onwards.

Yes, I agree. Strangely enough, I was sitting in Zanzibar talking to a friend of mine and said to him that I was bored of writing about romantic men. This friend is a loveable, friendly, and funny guy, but the opposite of romantic. So, I asked him to tell me about himself, and that is how Kia was created. Obviously, as the series goes on, my imagination takes over, and by the end of book five, apart from his  (often hidden) caring side and his smile, there isn’t much left of my actual, real friend.

In book three, Kia’s backstory is revealed, shedding light on his motivations. We see a different side of him that adds depth to his character and makes him even more intriguing. His complexities and vulnerabilities make him a love-to-hate character, and I can’t wait to see what you think of him as the journey unfolds in the rest of the series.
