My favourite part of the book was definitely any of the Nik and Bree stories – those two are like modern-day Romeo and Juliet! They even had their own family drama to cope with. The dynamic between Nik, the charming bad boy with a heart of gold, and Bree, the quirky yet fiercely independent heroine, had me hooked from their very first interaction. Every time they appeared on the page together, I couldn’t help but get butterflies in my stomach. Whether they were sneaking around behind Nik’s parents’ backs or facing distances that threatened to tear them apart, I was always rooting for them to overcome it all and find their happily ever after. Their love story is filled with passion, vulnerability, and an undeniable connection. I found it hard not to be swept up in their romance, even though it was me creating the complications.
The London Marathon section was fun, too, as was Carla opening the restaurant. I had fun trying to imagine the restaurant and its setting. By the time I’d finished, I’d had a perfect picture in my mind and even a menu in mind, and I was so annoyed I couldn’t actually go and taste it.
Anyway, feel free to keep asking questions! Send them in, and I’ll answer them all here.
