Absolutely! It’s a bit tricky to discuss without spoiling the book, so I’ll have to speak in code here. Those who have read the book will understand what I mean when I mention Bree and the white shirt – that scene had me in stitches!
Watching Carla sassily reply to her mother while a little tipsy was quite entertaining, and getting Petra’s escapades in Ireland onto the page had me chuckling as I typed. Well, maybe “cringing” is a more accurate term.
As for shedding a tear, I must admit that playing god and deciding fates in my book can be quite emotional. The beauty of writing is being able to kill off a character, only to change your mind and rewrite the chapter. I’ve done that a few times myself. I killed off a major character in the first book, only to have a change of heart after some tears and sleepless nights. I scrapped those chapters, came up with a new storyline.
If I delve any deeper, I’ll spoil the beginning of the second book. So, let’s leave it at that and keep the mystery alive!
